Centar urbane kulture re-GENERATOR, nastao transformacijom nekadašnjih prostora zabočke tvornice Regeneracija, koncipiran je kao složeni sustav sastavljen od jednog postojećeg i dvaju novih prostorno – funkcionalnih sklopova. Kodirani nazivima ‘Regenerator’, ‘Silos’ i ‘Inkubator’ sklopovi su istovremeno razdvojeni i objedinjeni, djeluju kao jedna zgrada, ali i mini susjedstvo. Ovako koncipiran novi re-GENERATOR je nositelj specifičnog identiteta, istovremeno starog i novog, temeljenog na industrijskom nasljeđu Zaboka.

re-GENERATOR, an urban culture center, came to life by transforming former factory buildings Regeneracija factory in Zabok, is conceptualized as a complex system of one existing and two new spatial and functional parts. Parts code-named “Regenerator”, “Silos”, “Incubator” are simultaneously disjointed and united spaces; they function as a single building, but at the same time as a miniature neighborhood. This new re-GENERATOR is thus a harbinger of a specific identity, a blend of old and new, deeply ingrained in the industrial heritage of Zabok.
The position and relations between three objects is defined by the “Red Carpet” main square.

Položaj i međuodnos triju kuća definira glavni pristupni trg – ‘Red Carpet’. Istovremeno artikuliran i fleksibilan, vanjski prostor može poprimiti čitav niz različitih scenarija – koncert na otvorenom, kazališna predstava, kino-projekcija, izložba, skate-park, pop-up igralište za djecu, tematski mini-sajam, performans, tribina. Stara hala Regeneratora, dvije nove dogradnje i novi trg su nerazdvojni dijelovi istog prostornog koncepta – djeluju kao novi društveni centar ali i nova programska točka u transformaciji nekadašnje industrije u novi centar grada.

Articulated and flexible at the same time, the outside space can morph into a spectre of scenarios – an open-air concert, theatre space, cinema space, an exhibition space, a skate park, pop-up playground, thematic mini-fair, performance space, forum.
Regenerator’s former industrial hall, two new additions and the new square are inseparable elements of the same spatial concept. They represent a new social center, as well as a new programmatic topic in the transformation of old industrial structures into the new town center.

Materijalizacija novog re-GENERATORa je oblikovni ekvivalent raznolikosti programa – umjesto jednoznačnosti, monumentalnosti i unifikacije potencira se različitost, otvorenost i fleksibilnost. Različitim visinama i međusobnim odnosom tri cjeline tvore jasan i dinamičan sklop prepoznatljivog identiteta a novi re-GENERATOR postaje novi prostorni znak u silueti grada.

The materialization of the new re-GENERATOR is a formative equivalent of program diversity – diversity, openness and flexibility are enhanced instead of uniformity, monumentality and unification. Different heights and interrelationships of the three units form a clear and dynamic assembly of recognizable identity, and the new re-GENERATOR becomes a new spatial sign in the town's silhouette.

Raznolikost programa, ljudi i sadržaja objedinjenih pod zajedničkim nazivnikom re-GENERATOR, manifestira se kroz odabir različitih materijala u oblikovanju pročelja triju cjelina. Profilirani trapezni lim, vidljivi beton i polikarbonatna ovojnica jasno komuniciraju karakter pojedine cjeline, povezujući se istovremeno s bogatim industrijskim nasljeđem Zaboka.

Diversity of program, people and substance united under the common denominator of re-GENERATOR is manifested in the selection of different materials in the design of the three units’ facades. The profiled trapezoidal sheet, visible concrete and polycarbonate sheath clearly communicate the character of the whole, at the same time linking itself to Zabok's rich industrial heritage.
