Heli Hotel

With an intention to avoid common hotel typologies and to create a new, clearly distinctive and site-specific ambient, the hotel is devised from a circle. A circular organization provides for equally striking views of the surroundings in all directions and all rooms which are offered for accommodation. Instead of long dead-end corridors, all rooms are connected in a radial organization by a central vertical lobby ensuring excellent spatial and visual connections of all facilities. The primary geometry of the circle is modified according to different depths of rooms and corresponding balconies, forming the irregular, oval shape of floorplans. Rotation of these floorplans completes the final expressive volume of the hotel accommodation, stacked on an elongated base that contains the rest of the hotel facilities.
